Building Alliance and the Centre for Future Homes
The Building Alliance and the Centre for Future Homes has worked with Secured by Design to produce advice on how to secure renewable assets.

Mike Leonard said " the electrification of home heating, cooking and transportation is presenting new opportunities for theft and vandalism.  We have already seen heat pumps stolen during the construction phase and the need to avoid fire will see high value batteries placed outside properties. EV cables which have a high copper content are also being stolen.

The advice, produced by Secured by Design will be supported by the UK's Design out Crime Managers and Mike Leonard will be facilitating a series of workshops at their annual conference in February 2026.
